EdFed's Financial Education team offers free educational seminars and workshops. Our workshops are designed to teach students the importance of responsible, credit management, budgeting and savings. Workshops include Money Management, Building and Maintaining Good Credit, Identity Theft, & Fraud Prevention, Budgeting and Financial Wellness.
The EdFed Reality Fair is a budgeting simulation for high-school students. Since 2007, EdFed has been a proud sponsor and supporter of the Summer Youth Internship Program and the City of Miami's Summer Jobs Connect Internship Program. These internships offer students the opportunity to work at one of EdFed's branches. Internship program information is posted early in the year and students are selected around May of the same year.
Both programs last five weeks, but the experience provides students with a skill set that they will use throughout their lives. Interns learn business etiquette, develop a healthy work ethic and learn that punctuality is integral to succeeding. Though it is not always easy, interns grow through this experience and become responsible individuals who know how to conduct themselves in a professional environment.
